RIAI criticises ESB competition entry conditions
In a letter to the European Commission, RIAI director John Graby has lodged a formal complaint on behalf of the Institute against the entry conditions for the international architectural competition being held by ESB to redesign the façade of its Fitzwilliam Street headquarters. The conditions stipulate that architectural practices entering the competition must be earning a minimum of €2.5 million in fees per year.

An Táisce heritage director calls for resignation of senior Dublin City Council management
The Heritage Director of An Táisce, Ian Lumley, has criticised 'egomaniac' architects and accused the senior management of Dublin City Council of being 'obsessed with money' in light of several recent overturns by An Bórd Pleanála of city centre building proposals that were passed by the council.
