Solearth Double-win at RSUA Awards

The recently completed visitor centre for the Wildfowl and Wetland
Trust at Castle Espie, Comber designed by Solearth Ecological Architecture has picked up two prizes at the RSUA 2010 Design Awards held in Belfast. Castle Espie was awarded 'Best example of sustainable design' and 'Best building in category
£0.75m to £3m'.
The project was cited as a 'careful and sensitive insertion of new building to make an overall composition with the existing buildings and the landscape' and an 'excellant match of programme, client, location and architect all with a shared commitment to issues of ecology and
sustainability'.
