Vipp accepted into MoMA, New York

The man behind the first Vipp bin, Holger Nielsen, has joined distinguished company. Holger’s original Vipp bin from 1939 is now rubbing shoulders with works by Tom Dixon, Charles & Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen, Mies van der Rohe and Zaha Hadid in The Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA’s) Architecture and Design collection in New York. “Good design never goes out of fashion”, Holger Nielsen used to say.

And time would prove him right; the Vipp bin has hardly changed in either design or materials since it was crafted in 1939 in Holger’s workshop in Denmark. Both the original and the updated version, we all know today, are now part of MoMA’s collection. The Vipp bin is available in stores throughout the world including MoMA stores.
